Egglife Foods is expanding its ready-to-eat portfolio with the launch of GRAB & GO Breakfast Tacos, available now at Sheetz, Target, and HEB locations nationwide, as well as select Meijer and HyVee stores. The products roll out this spring across thousands of retail locations, and the launch marks Egglife’s first-ever entry into the convenience store channel.

According to Egglife’s announcement, the Breakfast Taco lineup includes two varieties — Chicken Sausage, Egg & Cheddar and Bacon, Egg & Cheddar — both built on the brand’s signature egg white wraps and designed for high-protein, low-carb on-the-go consumption.

The launch extends the GRAB & GO line, which the brand introduced in July 2025 alongside its POWER PASTA line, beyond its original meat and cheese roll-up format into the breakfast daypart.


Egg White Wraps as a Platform, Not Just a Product

Egglife launched in 2020 with a single category-defining product: egg white wraps that replace flour-based tortillas. The brand has since expanded to over 16,000 retail locations across North America, appearing in the refrigerated sections of Aldi, Whole Foods, Kroger, Target, Walmart, Sprouts, Sam’s Club, and more.

The Breakfast Taco launch is the latest expression of a deliberate platform strategy. The framing is precise. Egglife is not competing with frozen breakfast burritos or shelf-stable protein bars. It is competing with the decision to skip breakfast entirely, positioning its refrigerated, ready-to-eat taco as the protein-forward alternative for consumers who lack time to prepare food but still want quality ingredients.


First Move into Convenience: Why Sheetz Matters

The Sheetz distribution deal is the most strategically significant element of this launch. Sheetz is one of the largest convenience store chains in the United States, operating over 700 locations primarily across the mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Egglife’s entry into the convenience channel signals a deliberate push beyond the specialty and natural grocery segment that has historically been its home.

Convenience stores are increasingly stocking refrigerated, better-for-you grab-and-go protein products as consumers demand healthier options across all retail formats.
