Food Rachael's Corporation Recall 11zon

BANDON, OR (November 15, 2025) — The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that Face Rock Creamery LLC is recalling its 6-ounce Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar after an FDA environmental sample detected Listeria monocytogenes in the packaging facility. According to the FDA, the recall affects a limited number of units sold at the company’s flagship store in Oregon.

Face Rock Creamery recall: quick summary

Face Rock Creamery issued a voluntary recall for 16 units of its Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar after the FDA found Listeria monocytogenes in the production environment. Although finished product tests have not shown contamination, the company and federal regulators warn that the presence of Listeria in the packaging area poses a safety concern. The cheese was sold exclusively at the Face Rock Creamery retail store in Bandon, Oregon, between November 10 and November 13, 2025. Consumers who purchased the product should discard it or return it for a full refund.

What happened?

Face Rock Creamery LLC announced the recall on November 14 in coordination with the FDA. The company reported that an FDA environmental sample collected in the cheese-packing area tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. According to the FDA, distribution was limited to Face Rock Creamery’s flagship store at 680 2nd St. SE, Bandon, Oregon.

The affected product includes 16 units of 6-ounce Vampire Slayer Garlic Cheddar sold from November 10 at 3:30 p.m. PT through November 13. Finished product samples have not tested positive, but the company told regulators it initiated the recall out of an abundance of caution.

In its recall alert, the FDA warned that “people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to Listeria monocytogenes run the risk of serious or life-threatening infection if they consume these products.”
