Always in season!
Cold brews are the moment. Whether it’s a hot summer day or a freezing winter morning, people keep on choosing it over hot drinks. And who could blame them really, have you tried an iced caramel latte? To die for. Some say this booming trend is due to its appealing aesthetic: a clear cup with ice and colorful drinks in it, definitely Instagram-worthy. Social media is obviously a big player in this game, multiple creators within the Gen Z category, often post about their iced coffee concoctions on platforms like TikTok or YouTube. But this is not new, iced coffee actually goes back as far as the 1800s (bet you didn’t know that) with a drink called “Café Mazagran” created by the soldiers that took part in the Battle of Mazagran and needed to survive the North Africa heat.
Ok, but make it vegan.

Almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, rice milk, the options are endless, and businesses are taking them. It’s no longer a cow-milk-only world. All coffee shops all around the country and pretty much the world offer a vegan option for consumers as the health kick continues in today’s society. This plant-based option happens to be the most accepted food that vegan and non-vegan people add to their diet. Even big companies like Starbucks choose to offer these beverages added to your everyday coffee, at no charge.
Nescafé for the win
The Swiss multinational company sees this high demand and takes action. Nescafé Fusion provides espresso-based beverages, filter coffee and other iced drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas. The machine comes in 14 different models based on the size of the business, cup capacity, counter space and consumer needs.
“As the demand for cold beverages increases, particularly among younger generations, our food service providers need to adapt and cater to this trend by offering a versatile menu of hot and iced beverages,” says Reinhold Jakobi, global head of Nestlé Professional.
