Kura Sushi, JUJUTSU KAISEN Launch Limited-Time Bikkura Pon Dining Collaboration

IRVINE, Calif. — Kura Sushi USA is partnering again with the anime franchise Jujutsu Kaisen to introduce a limited-time Bikkura Pon dining experience running from March 16 through April 30 at participating Kura Revolving Sushi Bar locations across the United States. The collaboration combines anime-themed collectibles, themed ramen dishes, and loyalty rewards designed to drive restaurant traffic and fan engagement.

The promotion centers on the restaurant chain’s Bikkura Pon prize system, which dispenses a capsule toy reward after customers reach specific plate counts. During the collaboration period, diners can receive randomized collectible prizes featuring characters such as Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo. The capsule prizes appear after 15 plates, 25 plates, and every 15 plates thereafter, adding a gamified element to the dining experience.

According to the company’s announcement via PR Newswire, the partnership also introduces new ramen menu items inspired by characters from the anime series.

Anime-inspired menu items and collectibles

Two limited-time ramen bowls anchor the collaboration menu, expanding beyond Kura Sushi’s typical sushi-focused offerings:

  • Spicy Tantanmen: ramen noodles in spicy miso broth topped with Sichuan chili paste, braised pork, boiled egg, green onions, and sesame seeds
  • Dark Tonkotsu Ramen: pork-based broth with black garlic oil, braised pork, egg, green onions, sesame seeds, and crispy garlic chips

Both dishes draw inspiration from key characters and story elements from the anime series.

The collaboration also introduces 10 capsule prize collectibles, including acrylic badges, sticker sets, and carabiners featuring the show’s characters.

Guests can also purchase select items individually through in-restaurant orders, online ordering, or delivery services such as DoorDash, although some collectibles remain exclusive to the Bikkura Pon prize system.

Rewards offer targets, loyal customers

Members of the Kura Sushi loyalty program will have access to an additional promotion during the collaboration.

Beginning March 18, rewards members who place an in-restaurant order of $85 or more will receive a limited-edition JUJUTSU KAISEN x Kura Sushi face towel while supplies last, according to the company.

Newton Hoang, Vice President of Marketing at Kura Sushi USA, said the collaboration expands the brand’s experiential dining strategy.

In the company’s announcement, Hoang explained that the partnership aims to create an immersive experience for fans while introducing new menu categories. He described the event as an opportunity to combine anime fandom with interactive dining and the company’s signature prize platform.

The Bikkura Pon system has become a core feature of Kura Sushi’s dining model. The company says more than 600 million sushi plates have been served in the U.S., with the prize mechanic encouraging repeat visits and higher plate counts per table.
