Meijer makes Halloween prep easy for busy families

Meijer is stepping in as the ultimate one-stop shop with costumes, candy, décor, and party must-haves. From classic favorites to allergen-friendly sweets and private label seasonal treats, the retailer is making sure every household is ready. Halloween falls on a Friday this year, giving Midwestern families a whole weekend of spooky celebrations!

Costumes for the whole creepy crew 

This year, Meijer is doubling down on costumes for every member of the family, including pets!
Kids can transform into Eric Carle book characters like The Very Hungry Caterpillar or Brown Bear, Brown Bear, or slip into the world of Dog Man. Adaptive costumes make dressing up accessible, ensuring all kids can join the fun.

Even pups get to shine. From mail carriers to dragons, or even a full hot dog and ketchup duo, Meijer’s pet costumes bring the bark to the block. And for DIY enthusiasts, craft and fashion departments offer plenty of pieces to mix and match.

Deck the (haunted) halls 

With Halloween on a Friday, parties are taking over the weekend. Meijer is leaning into the trend with indoor and outdoor décor at prices that don’t spook your wallet.

Think giant skeletons, eerie animatronics, glowing cauldrons, and inflatables that scream “haunted mansion.” Indoors, shoppers can grab candles, ghost décor, and tableware, all for $10 or less.

And for hosts who want coordinated flair, Meijer has glasses, placemats, and plates starting at $3.99. Affordable style means homes can go from cozy to creepy in minutes.

Sweet treats with a spooky twist 

Candy is still king, and Meijer’s shelves are stacked with seasonal delights. Classic favorites get a Halloween glow-up, including Reese’s White Chocolate Ghosts, Hershey’s Pumpkin Spice Latte Nuggets, and Snickers and Twix Ghoulish Green bars.
Not into chocolate? Try Kool-Aid “Ghoul-Aid,” Flamin’ Hot Cheetos Fiery Skulls, or Halloween Oreos.

Allergen-friendly candy and colored pails for allergy and autism awareness mean everyone can safely join the fun.

Meijer is also flexing its private label game with new Fall Candy Corn Bark, Pumpkin Spice Cookie Mix, and festive trail mixes like Pumpkin Patch and Eerie-Sistable.
