What’s better than a MoonPie on the Fourth of July? A MoonPie that ships straight to the hands of U.S. troops — with a side of gratitude and sprinkles of nostalgia.

From June 30 to July 4, Chattanooga Bakery, the home of the original MoonPie, is launching a Patriotic Pies campaign. For every red, white, or blue Mini MoonPie purchased for a service member, MoonPie will match that donation and deliver the treats — free of charge — to military bases around the world.

Yes, that’s right: snack patriotism is alive and well.

MoonPie Honors Troops with Red, White & Blue Mini Treats

Here’s the flavor lineup marching into hearts this summer:

  • Red: Strawberry Mini MoonPie
  • White: Classic Vanilla
  • Blue: Blueberry — a new flavor drop from 2024

These bite-sized pies are packed and shipped directly from the Chattanooga Bakery HQ to troops with help from the USO, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and Friends of the Troops.

The goal? To ship over 1 million Patriotic Pies by the end of 2025. And with over a million MoonPies baked every day, it’s looking sweetly possible.

“We’re honored to celebrate our men and women in uniform with a taste of home,” said Tory Johnston, VP of Sales and Marketing at Chattanooga Bakery.
