ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Domino’s Pizza is tying its latest summer promotion to international soccer. The company is offering $1 million worth of free Emergency Pizzas if a player from the U.S. national team receives a red card during this summer’s tournament.
The campaign was announced on Monday. It also includes a limited-edition merchandise collaboration with Saturdays Footbal. In addition, Domino’s launched a separate pizza giveaway tied to EA SPORTS FC 26 players. According to the company, customers must register before June 10, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET. Eligible participants will have a chance to win a free medium two-topping pizza.
Consumers can register through Domino’s soccer-themed Emergency Pizza page and must be enrolled in Domino’s Rewards to redeem any prize. If a red card is issued to the U.S. team during tournament play, the company said it will randomly select more than 60,000 winners.
The promotion arrives as restaurant chains continue leaning into live sports partnerships and gaming integrations to drive engagement among younger consumers during major global sporting events.
According to Kate Trumbull, the campaign was designed to connect with soccer fans during the summer tournament schedule.
“We’re as excited about the summer of soccer as fans are around the country,” Trumbull said in the company announcement, adding that the brand wanted to create “fun ways to help you get ready” for the matches.
Alongside the giveaway, Domino’s released a co-branded apparel collection with Saturdays Football that includes jerseys, slides, and caps. The merchandise is currently available through the soccer apparel company’s website.
EA SPORTS FC 26 promotion expands gaming tie-in
Domino’s is also extending the Emergency Pizza concept into gaming through a partnership connected to EA SPORTS FC 26.
The company said it plans to distribute 75,000 additional free pizzas to randomly selected U.S.-based players of the game on Fridays through June 5, 2026. Eligible players who are 18 or older may receive promo codes redeemable for a medium two-topping pizza.
The move reflects a broader trend in QSR marketing where restaurant brands increasingly blend sports culture, gaming communities, and digital loyalty ecosystems into single campaigns.
Why it matters
Domino’s latest campaign highlights how major QSR brands are increasingly combining sports marketing, gamified promotions, loyalty programs, and streetwear collaborations. These efforts are being packaged into integrated consumer campaigns designed to reach younger audiences across multiple platforms.
The strategy also reflects broader restaurant industry trends. Limited-time promotions are now focused less on discounts alone and more on digital engagement and cultural relevance. Soccer, in particular, has become an increasingly valuable audience segment for food brands. That interest is expected to grow further ahead of major international tournaments in North America.
The inclusion of gaming tie-ins through EA SPORTS FC 26 reflects the continued overlap between entertainment, food delivery, and digital rewards ecosystems. For restaurant operators, campaigns like these can help drive app downloads and loyalty registrations. They can also encourage repeat ordering behavior while generating social media visibility at a relatively low promotional cost.

Editor’s note: Source86 perspective
For foodservice brands, Domino’s latest soccer campaign demonstrates how modern restaurant marketing increasingly depends on real-time cultural engagement, digital loyalty infrastructure, and cross-category partnerships. Sports activations, gaming integrations, and limited-edition collaborations are becoming key tools for maintaining visibility in an increasingly competitive QSR landscape.
