DETROIT — Little Caesars is doubling down on its Motor City roots to kick off 2026. On Monday, January 12, the pizza chain announced the launch of Detroit-Style Slices-N-Stix, a new hybrid menu item that packages two of its most popular offerings into a single $4.99 meal.
The new combo is designed to cater to the growing demand for single-serve “lunch” options in the fast-food pizza market. Each box includes two slices of Detroit-Style Deep Dish Pepperoni pizza, four strips of Italian Cheese Bread, and a side of the brand’s signature tomato-based Crazy Sauce.
While the product was unveiled on January 12, customers will have to wait one week to get their hands on it. The item is scheduled to roll out to participating locations nationwide on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Hometown Heroes
To promote the launch, Little Caesars has enlisted Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. The NFL star will front the marketing campaign, a strategic move that leans heavily into the brand’s Detroit heritage just as the football postseason reaches its peak.
Greg Hamilton, Chief Marketing Officer at Little Caesars, emphasized that the product was built for individual value rather than large group sharing.
“Detroit-Style Slices-N-Stix delivers big flavor and value in a convenient, single-serve meal,” Hamilton stated. “It’s perfect for people who want something quick, hearty, and satisfying, without sacrificing taste.”
The “Slices-N-Stix” Strategy
This isn’t the first time Little Caesars has experimented with the “Slices-N-Stix” format. The original version, which launched several years ago, featured standard round pizza slices paired with cheese sticks. By upgrading the pizza portion to “Detroit-Style”—characterized by its thick, airy crust and crispy, caramelized cheese edges—the chain is effectively premiumizing its value menu while keeping the price point under the critical $5 threshold.
Why It Matters
For the fast-food industry, the $5 price point has become a major battleground in 2026. As consumers continue to pull back on discretionary spending, brands like Little Caesars, McDonald’s, and Taco Bell are racing to offer “complete meals” (entree + side) for a single low price.
This launch also reinforces the mainstreaming of Detroit-style pizza. Once a regional specialty, the rectangular deep dish has become a staple at major chains, with Little Caesars aiming to assert its dominance as the “authentic” provider of the style against competitors like Pizza Hut and Jet’s Pizza.
