It is officially Girl Scout Cookie season, and Wendy’s is getting in on the action. On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the chain announced the return of a fan-favorite treat, plus the debut of an entirely new dessert format.
As part of their licensed partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA), Wendy’s has launched the all-new Thin Mints® Frosty Fusion® alongside the returning Thin Mints® Frosty Swirl.
The Menu: Two Ways to Mint
While the previous iterations of the Thin Mints Frosty focused on blended syrups, the new “Frosty Fusion” line appears to be Wendy’s answer to the McFlurry or Blizzard—a spoonable, mix-in heavy dessert.
- ALL-NEW Thin Mints Frosty Fusion: This item features Wendy’s classic Vanilla Frosty mixed with actual crushed Girl Scout Thin Mints® cookies and a minty cookie crumble sauce.
- Thin Mints Frosty Swirl: The returning favorite is a lighter option, featuring the Vanilla Frosty swirled and topped with the minty cookie crumble sauce (but without the larger crushed cookie chunks of the Fusion).
Both items can be customized with a Chocolate Frosty base upon request.
“The friendship between Wendy’s and Girl Scouts of the USA is even sweeter this year,” said Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. CMO for The Wendy’s Company. “By bringing together these iconic treats, Wendy’s celebrates the nostalgia our fans love.”
Cookie Booths at Wendy’s
The partnership extends beyond the menu. During National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend (Feb 20-22) and throughout the season, over 3,600 Wendy’s locations nationwide will host local Girl Scout troops to sell cookies directly at the restaurants.
Wendy Lou, Chief Revenue Officer of GSUSA, said:
“Wendy’s restaurants are also opening their doors to Girl Scouts, giving troops space to sell cookies… and build the skills that help them reach their goals,”
Why It Matters
This launch is significant for Wendy’s dessert strategy in 2026:
- The “Fusion” Platform: The introduction of the “Frosty Fusion” branding suggests Wendy’s is moving toward more premium, texture-heavy desserts to compete with McDonald’s McFlurry and Dairy Queen’s Blizzard, rather than just offering smooth, drinkable shakes.
- Community Tie-In: Hosting cookie booths drives physical foot traffic to the restaurants. Parents and supporters buying boxes of cookies are highly likely to purchase a meal or a Frosty while onsite.
- Seasonal Agility: By aligning perfectly with the peak of cookie season (mid-February), Wendy’s capitalizes on the existing “Thin Mint hype” without having to manufacture a proprietary mint cookie from scratch.

FAQs
What is the difference between the Swirl and the Fusion?
The Swirl uses a minty cookie crumble sauce swirled into the Frosty. The Fusion includes that sauce plus larger pieces of actual crushed Thin Mints cookies mixed throughout.
When are these available?
Both items are available now at participating U.S. Wendy’s locations for a limited time.
Can I buy Girl Scout Cookies at Wendy’s?
Yes, but only when local troops are present. Many locations will host booths during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend (Feb 20-22).
