Bulk Erythritol
$0.00
Bulk erythritol is a sugar alcohol made by fermenting glucose, then crystallizing and purifying it to 99.5% or higher. It looks, pours and measures like granulated sugar at about 60 to 70% of its sweetness, which makes it a standard bulking base for reduced sugar and sugar free formulas, alone or blended with monk fruit or stevia.
Source86 supplies erythritol crystals in 18 to 60, 20 to 60, 30 to 60 and 30 to 80 mesh, in conventional and certified organic grades, plus ready to use blends: erythritol with monk fruit in white, gold and caramel, each matched to sucrose sweetness, and erythritol with stevia at 1:1. Eight fermentation producers in China supply it in 25 kg bags.
Organic, Non GMO, Kosher and Halal documents are available on request, and grades conform to FCC, USP and EU E968 specifications.

Certifications & Compliance
Documentation available upon request: Every erythritol lot ships with a COA for assay, moisture and heavy metals, alongside the specification sheet, allergen and non GMO statements, origin documentation and SDS.
Certifications and statements Organic grades carry USDA NOP or EU organic certification, Kosher (Parve) and Halal are issued by producer, and all grades conform to FCC, USP/BP and EU Regulation 231/2012 (E968).
Production & Sourcing
Erythritol is sourced from eight fermentation producers in China, so conventional, organic and blended grades can be bought in parallel, and volume can move to another plant when one producer’s capacity is committed.
How It’s Produced
- Starch Conversion: Starch, typically non GMO corn, is converted to glucose.
- Fermentation: A food grade yeast or fungal culture ferments the glucose into erythritol.
- Separation and Purification: The broth is filtered, decolorized and passed through ion exchange to remove biomass and impurities.
- Crystallization: Erythritol is concentrated and crystallized.
- Drying and Sieving: Crystals are dried to ≤0.2% moisture and sieved into mesh grades.
- Blending (blended grades): Monk fruit or stevia extract is blended in at a controlled ratio.
Applications
Granular erythritol and blends for private label sugar replacements.
Cookies, cakes and muffins, as a bulking sugar replacement.
Fine mesh grades in sugar free chocolate, hard candy, gummies and mints.
Powdered drink mixes, RTD teas and sports drinks.
Reduced sugar ice cream, yogurt and puddings.
Keto-positioned and low-sugar bars, nut butters and coatings.
Compressible fine grades in chewable tablets and powders.
Physical & Functional Characteristics
- Appearance: White crystalline granules or powder.
- Taste: Clean, sweet and odorless, with a cooling sensation on dissolving.
- Sweetness: About 60 to 70% of sucrose for pure erythritol, and about 1:1 with sucrose for the blends.
- Purity: 99.5–100.5% assay, dry basis.
- Dietary Suitability: Plant derived, vegan, gluten free and non GMO.
- Particle Size: Crystals are graded from coarse 18 to 60 mesh granules down to fine 30 to 80 mesh.
- Moisture: Dried to 0.2% maximum, which keeps the crystals free flowing in storage.
Functionality
- Bulking Sweetener: Replaces sugar’s volume and structure with similar handling.
- Clean Sweetness: Gives a sugar-like taste with a mild cooling effect.
- Sweetness Carrier: Serves as the base for monk fruit and stevia blends.
- Crystallization: Supports texture in hard candy and chocolate.
- Low Hygroscopicity: Stays free flowing in dry blends.
Benefits for Commercial Manufacturing
- Mesh Selection: Five particle-size grades fit different equipment and textures.
- Ready Blends: Monk fruit and stevia blends cut in-house blending steps.
- Pharmacopeia-Grade Purity: FCC, USP and E968 conformity simplifies QA approval.
- Multi-Producer Sourcing: Several manufacturers support volume continuity.
