How It’s Produced
- Selection: Raw green Cardava bananas are selected at the right maturity.
- Peeling and Slicing: Bananas are peeled and sliced into uniform whole rounds of the specified thickness.
- Frying or Vacuum Drying: Slices are fried in refined coconut oil, or vacuum-dried at low temperature for vacuum-dried grades.
- Sweetening (sweetened grades): Fried chips are coated with cane sugar syrup and dried.
- Cooling and Sieving: Chips are cooled and sieved to remove broken pieces, dust and debris.
- Inspection, Testing and Packing: Chips are inspected for defects, tested against specification and packed.
